 "Tanec" is a name that is a symbol of the macedonian culture and art for about five decades, it is an ambassador and a presenter of the macedonian creativity in Macedonia and all around the world for that time.
For five decades it is a mobile museum of the most beautiful, most precious and ancient macedonian folklore heritage,that represents identity and history of the macedonian people.
The Ensemble of the folk dances and songs "Tanec" has been created in 1949,by the Decree of the Macedonian Government, as a need for the macedonian folk heritage to be nursed and collected, folk heritage such as dances, folk songs, instruments, the rich genuine folk outfits and also, to be presented in Macedonia and abroad troughout the concerts,festivals and other cultural events. Beside the nursing of that rich folklore, "Tanec" ,during this five decades, successfuly is presenting the colorful dances, songs and outfits, that certanly reasssembles the genuine emblem of the macedonian culture.
With the high artistical presentation of those choreographical display and staging, this ensemble, during all these years, successfuly is capturing the hearts of the audience. Here, really worth of mentioning is the first performance and presentation of "Tanec" outside of its homeland at the international festival in Langolen, England in 1950,where the Ensemble got the first price and won the "cold hearts" of the englishmen, which is a historical event for the Ensemble and for the macedonian culture, as well. Actually, this is a proper comfirmation of the successful presentation of the macedonian folk heritage.
The ensemble "Tanec", trough the fifty year career, has been participating at over 3500 concerts, festivals and other events, gathering over eight million visitors. There is a huge number of awards, diplomas and gratitudes, such as republicas awards "11 Oktomvri", "Kliment Ohridski" and "13 Noemvri" of the city of Skopje.
As a proof of the good artistic quality of the dances, songs, outfits, stand the many positive critics and columns by top rated folk experts, presented trough the TV shows, newspapers, radio and so on.
On the agenda and repertoire that "Tanec" represents, many beautiful dances and songs from all over Macedonia take place, such as "Nevestinsko","Teshkoto","Komitsko","Chifte","Kalajdzisko","Osogovka" and many other and this is only a part of the whole reportoire.
In its nobel cultural mission ,"Tanec" is in constant cooperation with the macedonian emigration at the diaspora. Therefore, "Tanec"is performing in many countries where macedonians dwell. He is helping continuesly the other macedonian folk ensembles in those countries, also, in Macedonia, making a quality progress and handing down of folk tradition.
"Tanec" will represent a new choreographies of dances from all over Macedonia. Here,as well,the songs and dances from the cities in Macedonia will participate, giving a birth to a new ensembles, which will carry only this kind of songs and dances.
There is a child-youth studio as a branch of "Tanec", that has been recently reactivated, in which childern even from the earliest age, learn how to develop and nurse the beauty of the macedonian folklore, presenting it and passing it on with love and passion. That studio is actually a school for folk dancers, dancers that are later becoming a true professionals. This little "Tanec" is performing at many concerts and festivals troughout Macedonia and abroad.
"Tanec" recently has done some publishing, as there is a material for preparation, such as Dvds and Cds with the dances and songs out of its repertoire. Also,"Tanec" is purchasing a genuine traditional clothes from Macedonia, in order to preserve and enrich the macedonian folk outfits.
"Tanec" is a organizer of many seminars for the directors of the other ensembels and from the begining till now,there are over 200 employees in "Tanec". Now, there are 42 of them,some full, some part time employed, 9 of them from outside, 9 of them included into realisation of the program,that are guarantee for the successful presentation of the macedonian folklore creativity.
As for certain, there will be no success whatsoever, in this 50 years, without a large number of individuals, organisations, institutions from Macedonia and from many other countries, that were generously helping "Tanec" trough all these years. Therefore,a big gratitude to all of them and to all that still somehow participate in the successful work of "Tanec". |
